Reminiscences of Harry Sosnik: oral history, 1985.

Growing up in Chicago; experience in amateur radio; big bands, hotel and radio in the 1920s and 1930s; early partners and acts; work as part of traveling orchestra; transition from musician to conductor; directing orchestras from Chicago radio programs (1931-1935) and in Hollywood and New York (1936-1949); the record industry in the 1930s; the music business in wartime Los Angeles; composing, arranging, and conducting for early television in New York (1947-1967); numerous anecdotes about music personalities and Hollywood stars.
